Nie wiem w jakiej bajce pojawia się błękit ani z czym mi się kojarzy. Wiem że uwielbiam go w połączeniu z czerwienią i ciepłym wiatrem. No, i jeszcze w filmie Diabeł ubiera się u Prady.
Spódnica mojej babci kojarzy mi się z dzieciństwem. Nie wiem czy powinnam profanować ją codziennym użytkowaniem, czy to nie odbierze jej wartości sentymentalnej i nie zdegraduje do pojęcia szmatki, niemniej póki co miałam ochotę trochę się nią pobawić.

Wcześniej nie miałam okazji wspomnieć, ale spotkała mnie przemiła przygoda, dzięki której przez moment poczułam się jak gwiazda.

Eng. I'm not sure what fairytale comes to my mind as I think of light blue, or what are my personal associations with the color. I know I love to wear it with red. And it is totally perfect on Andy's jumper in Devil wears Prada.
My granny's skirt makes me think of my childhood and the warm breeze. I'm not quite sure if I should wear it. I've got a feeling that it would steal its aura, and condescend to the level of an average cloth. Nevertheless, I decided to take some pictures that would serve as a tribute.

I had an amazing opportunity recently of being the protagonist of an interview! I regret it's in Polish, but I'm proud anyway.

Mój ulubiony ostatnimi czasy, ręcznie dziergany sweterek został wyeksploatowany już chyba na każdą okazję. Mimo iż niemiłosiernie obłazi, to stanowi spełnienie wszystkich moich dziecinnych fantazji o konikach, kucykach i innych słodkościach. Urok zwykłych rzeczy właśnie na tym polega - na sile skojarzeń i wspomnień. Różowy sweter, bez metki i dekoltu, dla mnie jest skarbem, w którym czuję się trochę jak mała beztroska dziewczynka na chwilkę przed wyjściem na sanki.

Wpadłam ostatnio na coś wspaniałego. Polecam tym co mają ochotę powspominać: Julia Pott - My First Crush.

Eng. I'm a bit lazy lately, I do not torture myself by dressing extraordinarily, because I'm simply not in the mood to do so. This jumper has been one of my favourite pieces of clothing this week. It makes me think of my childhood, and evokes really wonderful memories. Although it's not a designer jumper I feel special wearing it, just like a carefree little girl thinking of another dress for her favourite doll.

W zeszły poniedziałek, jak tylko zobaczyłam w lumpeksowym koszu tę sukienkę, jeszcze nie patrząc na metkę, wiedziałam że będzie to coś specjalnego. Idealnie wpisała się w koncepcję Ryfkowego konkursu, którym poniższe zdjęcia zostały zainspirowane. To Nina Ricci, z lat 40. jak podejrzewam, kiedy Oliviera Theyskensa nie było jeszcze na świecie, ani jego następcy którego to nazwiska zapamiętać nie mogę za żadne skarby.

Eng. It was last Monday. The very moment I saw this dress in my local second-hand, not checking the label yet, I knew it would become another treasure in my closet. It fits perfectly the theme of the competition these photos were inspired by.

I'm a bit nostalgic about this dress. I imagine a lady wearing it with lace gloves, embraced by L'air du Temps scent, walking carefreely down the streets of Paris, heading to some small, quiet cafe on one of the first sunny days of spring, when the unique smell in the air makes one forget about all the things that trouble him.

Wolfmother - Far Away

Dzieje się coś niedobrego. Od roku nie miałam w ręce pędzla, płótno które miało być dziełem życia leży zaniedbane w kącie, dziewczę z winogronami spogląda smutno spod naszkicowanej ledwie powieki, a ja pozostaję niewzruszona. Może wiosna tchnie w moją uschłą duszę nowe natchnienie. Mam nadzieję.

Koronka jako taka straciła znacznie w moich oczach. Teraz mam smak na gipiurę, bawełniane kołnierzyki raczej niż na poliestrowe gryzące tkaniny w sieciówkowym stylu. Do tego beże, które jednak nie wyglądają tak źle z moim mysim włosem. Cały czas Nereidy, zapach piżma i skóry, budrysówka i brak biżuterii (te koronkowe kolczyki to moja największa ekstrawagancja.)

Eng. Something wrong is happening to me. Over a year had passed since I used brushes for the last time. I have left behind the canvas, that was supposed to be the most splendid work of my life. The girl with grapes gives me this sad look, smiling timidly, asking if I will finally take care of her; I'm unmoved though. I hope summer will soothe my soul and bring me the new energy to bring the girl to life.

I'm bored with lace. Now I'm into guipure, and cotton collars rather than synthetic fabrics. I wear them with all shades of beige, which suit my hair quite well. I'm still fascinated with musk and leather. I'm loyal to my duffle coat and almost absolute lack of jewellery.

Zimowy las to jedyna sceneria gdzie toleruję połączenie czerwieni z bielą i czernią, a wręcz wydaje mi się ono połączeniem naturalnym. Śnieg jest rewelacyjnym tłem, nadaje każdej barwie niesamowitą wyrazistość. Opis Królewny Śnieżki nie na darmo składał się właśnie ze skojarzeń z tymi trzema kolorami.

Zdjęcia robiliśmy jeszcze przed świętami, ale jakoś nie było okazji ich pokazać, aż zobaczyłam ten post Haleigh.

Eng. Winter forest scenery is the only one for me where I actually like the combination of red, white and black. I would dare to say that these colours seem to fit there perfectly. Snow is wonderful background, it makes every single colour look magically vivid, clear and pristine. The description of Snow-White was well-constructed then, as far as there are associations with snow, rose and ebony (or blood and raven feather, I read once The Snow Child by Angela Carter, and it was even better than the Grimm's.)

We took the photos before Christmas, but until I saw this post by Haleigh, there was either no occasion or I was not in the right mood.

Stephen Jones and the Hat Issue.

Zdjęcie modelki w kapeluszu projektu Stephena Jonesa z 1988 roku zobaczyłam po raz pierwszy w Brytyjskim Vogue'u rok temu. Z abażurem owo nakrycie głowy skojarzyło mi się dopiero niedawno - kiedy w lumpeksie znalazłam idealny, pudrowy, z frędzelkami, w stylu Marii Antoniny. I tak zrodził się pomysł na nowy nagłówek.

Eng. The first time I saw this Stephen Jones' hat in the British Vogue last year. In fact, I associated it with a lampshade recently, when I've found the perfect one in the vintage shop: frilly and sweet, with tassels, the very Marie Antoinette style. This is how I got the idea for my new header.
