Zdjęcie modelki w kapeluszu projektu Stephena Jonesa z 1988 roku zobaczyłam po raz pierwszy w Brytyjskim Vogue'u rok temu. Z abażurem owo nakrycie głowy skojarzyło mi się dopiero niedawno - kiedy w lumpeksie znalazłam idealny, pudrowy, z frędzelkami, w stylu Marii Antoniny. I tak zrodził się pomysł na nowy nagłówek.

Eng. The first time I saw this Stephen Jones' hat in the British Vogue last year. In fact, I associated it with a lampshade recently, when I've found the perfect one in the vintage shop: frilly and sweet, with tassels, the very Marie Antoinette style. This is how I got the idea for my new header.
To już taka tradycja że co roku na mikołajki dostaję od lubego grudniowe wydanie brytyjskiego Vogue'a. Grubiutkie, pachnące, z dodatkiem "gift aid" i mnóstwem ślicznych błyszczących rzeczy. Co prawda dostałam go już w połowie listopada, ale dopiero teraz czuję się upoważniona aby o nim wspomnieć (kompletnie nie podoba mi się fakt że numer lipcowy magazynu ukazuje się już na początku czerwca, to zakłóca w jakiś sposób spokój mojej duszy) Motyw gwiazdki, który stał się jednocześnie motywem przewodnim numeru, na ubraniu mnie nie przekonuje, ale już na oku - jak najbardziej. Sweter z napisem Hollywood; wiadomo, że jak gwiazdy to i fabryka snów, nie ma innej możliwości; to relikt z lat 90. Miał kiedyś paskudny golf, którego nie mogłam znieść, ale jego cudne kolory skutecznie zniwelowały złe emocje, i tak oto stał się kanwą dla posta.

Eng. The inspiration for this post is the Star Issue of British Vogue. I buy only the December release, because of the gift aid pages and lots of shiny, sparkling christmas stuff. I hate the fact that it is available in November, it's kinda strange, to read a magazine devoted to the following month in a preceding one. I find the star motif a bit childish as it comes to the clothes, but the starry make-up looks really fine. My jumper is a 90s relic, I love the Hollywood embroidery and its warm beige and ivory straps.
